November 8, 2009	Caribbean Classic Triathlon Olympic distance triathlon consisting of a 1500 meter swim, 40K bike and 10K run. The Buccaneer is the host hotel, with a 25% discount for guests participating in the race. Transportation Tips: You may make arrangements to ship your bike in advance. The Buccaneer will provide secure storage for guest's bikes until arrival. (Service is limited to Buccaneer guests.) The heaviest travel days for triathlons are arrivals Thursdays and departures Mondays. Avoiding either of these days could result in better flight selection and better fares. American Airlines from Miami; Delta from Atlanta and USAirways from Charlotte have non-stop jet flights to St. Croix. Many airlines connect to St. Croix via San Juan. Book American Eagle to St. Croix from San Juan. Cape air is a fine alternative for passengers, however it does not transport bikes.
